-ooOoo- In 1993, Appellant Demetrius Deon Dixon was convicted by jury of first degree murder (Pen. Code,1 § 187, subd. (a)) with a robbery-murder special circumstance (§ 190.2, subd. (a)(17)), robbery (§§ 211/212.5, subd. (b)), and an enhancement for the personal use of a knife (§ 12022, subd. (b)(1)). He was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole plus one year. Dixon filed a petition for resentencing under former section 1
