Jackson v. Bd. of Civil Service Commissioners of the City of L.A. CA2/7
In May 2019 Nathan Jackson’s former employer, the Los Angeles Police Department, suspended him for 10 days. Jackson, a detention officer, returned to work after his suspension, but 45 days later, the Department discharged him. Jackson appealed his suspension through an administrative grievance process that culminated in the Board of Civil Service Commissioners of the City of Los Angeles affirming his suspension. Jackson filed a petition
