On September 26, 2022, Johan Contreras Bautista and a juvenile we identify as E.J. challenged defendant Anthony Gutierrez Lopez and his younger brother Ricardo to fight.1 Almost immediately after the fight began, Gutierrez Lopez removed a gun from his waistband and shot and killed the unarmed Bautista.
