This appeal is part of an ongoing legal battle between appellant Vanessa Valdes (Valdes) and respondent Stewart Lucas Murrey (Murrey). Valdes appeals the trial court’s order denying her motion to strike Murrey’s cross-complaint pursuant to the anti-SLAPP law (Code Civ. Proc., § 425.16).1 We conclude that the court erred in denying the motion, because (1) the activity underlying eight of Murrey’s 11 tort claims is not illegal
