INTRODUCTION Pro Legal Funding, LLC had two liens on any recovery awarded to Derek Alonso in Alonso’s personal injury litigation. Alonso, with defendant David Allor as his counsel, obtained a verdict and judgment in his favor. The judgment funds were distributed without paying Pro Legal’s liens. Pro Legal then sued Alonso and Allor for failing to pay the liens. Allor filed a special motion to strike under Code of Civil
