-ooOoo- INTRODUCTION On September 27, 2015, defendant Ricky Dean Beets, Jr., and his accomplices arrived at a property occupied by a 72-year-old man and represented themselves to be police officers. After ordering the man to the ground and beating him with a pipe, defendant and the others stole several marijuana plants, a vehicle, and a wallet from another worker on the property. In 2020, defendant pled guilty to second degree robbery
