The trial court granted summary judgment in favor of Federal Insurance Company (Federal), after determining as a matter of law that Federal owed no obligation to defend or indemnify its insured, Abigail Abbott Staffing Services, Inc. (Abbott), against a claim of liability arising out of Abbott’s negligent referral of an employee who later embezzled money from Abbott’s client.
