Parvizian v. Cal. Unempl. Ins. App. Bd.
Syrus Parvizian appeals the trial courts partial denial of his petition for writ of administrative mandamus. Appellant sought an order directing respondents California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board (Board) and California Employment Development Department (Department) to grant him (1) unemployment benefits (a) retroactive to March 2003 and (b) for his post-March 2003 part-time employment, and (2) disability benefits. The court issued an amended judgment that (1) granted the petition in part and directed the Department to make a determination on appellants application for disability benefits, and (2) denied the petition with respect to unemployment benefits. Court affirm.
