Defendant Carol Ann Halpin appeals a judgment entered following a jury trial during which she was convicted of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated (Penal Code, 191.5, subd. (a)). On appeal, defendant asserts she was denied effective assistance of counsel at trial, because her attorney did not request redaction of a portion of her statement to police during which she invoked her right to remain silent.
