P. v. McDowell
A jury found defendant and appellant Donneil Akeem McDowell guilty of three counts of aggravated assault of a child under the age of 14 years and 10 or more years younger than him, based on his commission of sodomy by force under Penal Code[1]section 286 ( 269, subd. (a)(3), counts 1-3). Defendant pled guilty to two counts of misdemeanor unlawful intercourse with a second victim ( 261.5, subd. (b)). The trial court sentenced defendant to a total term of 45 years to life in state prison. On appeal, defendant contends the trial court abused its discretion in admitting expert testimony concerning child sexual abuse accommodation syndrome. Court affirm.
