Amer. Fed. State Employees Local 2703 v. City of Merced
The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, District 57 Local 2703 (the Union) filed a petition for a writ of mandate seeking an order requiring the City of Merced and James Marshall, the city manger of the City of Merced (collectively, the City), to comply with the memorandum of understanding (the MOU) into which the City and the Union had entered. The trial court granted the petition and issued a writ of mandate. The City appeals, raising various procedural arguments, as well as asserting the trial courts judgment was not supported by substantial evidence. Court affirm the judgment.
