P. v. Hall
A jury convicted defendant Lamont Hall of grand theft (Pen. Code, 487, subd. (a); undesignated section references are to the Penal Code). The court found a prior prison term allegation ( 667.5, subd. (b)) to be true. Sentenced to state prison, defendant appeals. He contends (1) the evidence on the value of the stolen computer was inadmissible hearsay and its admission violated his confrontation right, (2) the trial court failed to instruct the jury that the value of the stolen property had to exceed $400, (3) cumulative error requires reversal and (4) the trial court erroneously denied his motion pursuant to People v. Marsden (1970) 2 Cal.3d 118 (Marsden). Court affirm the judgment.
