P. v. Araujo
Defendant appeals following his conviction for felony drug possession and misdemeanor resisting arrest. Court reject his argument that he was denied his right to a competent interpreter during trial. Court agree, however, that there were problems with a discovery hearing held pursuant to Pitchess v. Superior Court (1974) 11 Cal.3d 531 (Pitchess). Court therefore conditionally reverse the judgment and remand for a new Pitchess hearing.
