Marriage of Nielsen and Olds
The parties to this appeal agreed to arbitrate the property issues arising from their marital dissolution proceeding. In confirming the arbitration award, the trial court awarded the wife interest on the equalizing payment from the date of the award. The husband did not file a timely postjudgment motion or appeal, but later challenged the interest award portion of the judgment on the ground that it was contrary to the arbitrators decision. Court hold that the original judgment was not void, and the inclusion of the interest was not a clerical error that could be corrected after the judgment became final.
