COURT OF APPEAL, FOURTH APPELLATE DISTRICT

DIVISION ONE

STATE OF CALIFORNIA

THE PEOPLE,

Plaintiff and Respondent,

v.

LATANYA ALEXANDRIA MEYERS,

Defendant and Appellant.

D051441

(Super. Ct. No. SCD203188)

APPEAL from a judgment of the Superior Court of San Diego County, Timothy R. Walsh, Judge. Affirmed.

Latanya Alexandria Meyers entered a negotiated guilty plea to one count of burglary (Pen. Code,  459), two counts of forgery (Pen. Code,  470, subd. (d)), and one count of unlawfully taking a vehicle (Veh. Code,  10851, subd. (a)). Under the terms of the plea agreement, Meyers received a stipulated two-year prison term. The plea agreement called for this two-year prison term to run concurrent with the sentence Meyers was to receive for probation violations in two other cases.

FACTS

In June 2006 Meyers counterfeited checks for $950 drawn on a Marine Corps West Federal Credit Union.

On July 1 Meyers completed a credit application at a used car lot in El Cajon. Meyers used a false name, a fictitious social security number, a fictitious driver's license number and a counterfeit pay stub from Northrop Grumman to obtain credit to buy a 2002 Ford F-150 truck selling for $17,765.71. As a down payment, Meyers gave the company a check, which was returned by the bank for insufficient funds.

On July 30 Meyers purchased a wedding dress and accessories for $1,690.65 from the Brides by Demetrios store. Meyers used a fraudulent military identification card and checks drawn on an account with no funds at the Union Bank of California.

On October 17 Meyers filled out, signed and submitted an application for a checking account at an internet bank headquartered in New York using a false name and the social security number of a deceased person. As part of her application, Meyers included a check for $17,500 drawn on a closed USAA Federal Savings Bank account.

DISCUSSION

Appointed appellate counsel has filed a brief setting forth evidence in the superior court. Counsel presents no argument for reversal, but asks that this court review the record for error as mandated by People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436. Pursuant to Anders v. California (1967) 386 U.S. 738, counsel refers to as possible, but not arguable, issues: (1) whether Meyers's guilty plea was constitutionally valid; (2) whether Meyers was properly advised that she would receive a concurrent two-year prison sentence under the plea agreement; and (3) whether Meyers's waiver of her appellate rights was valid.

We granted Meyers permission to file a brief on her own behalf. She has not responded.

A review of the record pursuant to People v. Wende, supra, 25 Cal.3d 436 and Anders v. California, supra, 386 U.S. 738, including the possible issues referred to by appellant's counsel, has disclosed no reasonably arguable appellate issues. Competent counsel has represented Meyers on this appeal.

DISPOSITION

The judgment is affirmed.
