INTRODUCTION


            Defendant Luis M. appeals from an order declaring him to be a ward of the court pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code section 602 for having committed the crime of driving or taking a vehicle without the owner's consent (Veh. Code, §  10851, subd. (a)).  He challenges the sufficiency of the evidence to support the order, as well two of the conditions under which he was placed on probation.  We reverse.


FACTS


            On the afternoon of March 21, 2005, Los Angeles Police Officer Rodney Williams saw defendant driving a Toyota Camry south on Figueroa Street.  He ran a computer check and discovered the car had been reported stolen.  He stopped the car.  Defendant had no driver's license or vehicle registration, and he had a â€
