Dunn v. Los Angeles Co. Dept. of Mental Health
Plaintiff Linda G. Dunn appeals from the grant of summary judgment on her complaint against her employer, defendant Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH), and individuals Katty Callender, Marianne Klee, Adele Kelso Loufek (Kelso), and Cathy Warner. Dunn alleged claims for discrimination and retaliation under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA, Gov. Code, § 12940, et seq.) as well as a claim for adverse employment consequence in violation of public policy (Lab. Code, §§ 1102.5, 2856). She contends the trial court erred in granting summary judgment because she raised triable issues of material fact as to whether she was subjected to racial discrimination and retaliation for complaining about her discriminatory treatment. She also contends that the trial court erroneously failed to hold a hearing on the summary judgment motion. Court affirm.
