P. v. Vielmas
A jury found Abel Rafael Vielmas guilty of two counts of attempted extortion, and he subsequently pleaded guilty to a third count. Vielmas appeals, arguing that the evidence was insufficient to establish that he committed attempted extortion, that his convictions violated the prohibition against double jeopardy, and, in the alternative, that the court erred in imposing consecutive sentences on the extortion counts. Court reverse Vielmas's conviction on count 1, and affirm the judgment in all other respects.
