Defendant, cross-complainant, and appellant Hassan Almasian entered into a written agreement with plaintiff, cross-defendant, and respondent Maria Cordova and cross-defendant and respondent Samir Abdellatif under which Almasian was to make certain repairs and improvements to Cordova and Abdellatif's residence in exchange for $25,000.
