P. v. Pascal
A jury convicted defendant Jerome Pascal of the first degree murder of Damont Johnson (Pen. Code, 187, subd. (a)),[1] the deliberate and premeditated attempted murders ( 664/187) and attempted robberies ( 664/211) of Jose Solis and Rosendo Solis, and one count of felon in possession of a firearm ( 12021, subd. (a)(1)). As to all but the latter conviction, the jury found true the allegations that the crimes were committed for the benefit of a criminal street gang ( 186.22, subd. (b)(1)(C)) and that defendant discharged a firearm causing great bodily injury ( 12022.53, subd. (d)), among other lesser firearm enhancements (id., subds. (b) & (c)). The trial court sentenced defendant to an aggregate term of life in prison, plus an additional term of 103 years to life. Defendant raises numerous claims of error, none of which has merit. Court affirm the judgment.
