P. v. Cortez
Michell Cortez was convicted by jury of three counts of forgery by possessing a blank or unfinished check with the intent to defraud (Pen. Code, 475, subd. (b)),[1]as well as other theft-related offenses; and he admitted allegations regarding two separate prior prison terms. He was sentenced to nine years eight months in state prison. On appeal from the judgment, Cortez contends he could only have been convicted of two of the three counts of violating section 475, subdivision (b). Court affirm the judgment.
