Appellant Adriana C. challenges an order of the juvenile court under Welfare and Institutions Code section 366.26 (section 366.26) terminating her parental rights with respect to her sons, Hector and Jonathan S. We find no prejudicial error, and affirm.


Background


Appellant has four children: Victor S., born March 1988; Hector S., born September 1992; Jonathan S., born January 1994; and Alyjah C., born December 2000. Only Hector and Jonathan are directly involved in this appeal, and as will appear, appellant's arguments only charge error in the termination of rights as to Jonathan. Our summary will therefore tend to focus on the facts and proceedings concerning him.


In March 2001, all four children became the subject of dependency proceedings when appellant was arrested, along with Alyjah's father, after a parole search of their home yielded drug paraphernalia, methamphetamines, and marijuana.[1] Juvenile court jurisdiction was found in April 2001, and reunification services were provided for a year thereafter, although appellant was deported to Mexico in November 2001.[2] In November 2002, the court terminated parental rights as to Alyjah and adopted long-term foster care as the permanent plan for the three boys. The hope was that Alyjah would be adopted by, and the boys would become wards to, their then-foster parents, Alyjah's paternal uncle Jose C. and his cohabitant Mary G. Instead, in January 2003, all four children were removed when one of Mary G's daughters accused Jose of sexual abuse. Hector and Alyjah were placed in one foster home and Victor and Jonathan were placed in another.
