IN THE COURT OF APPEAL OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
THIRD APPELLATE DISTRICT
(Sacramento)
----
THE PEOPLE, Plaintiff and Respondent, v. SHAUNISHA WILLIAMS, Defendant and Appellant. | C059607 (Super. Ct. No. 08F02366) |
Defendant Shaunisha Williams entered a negotiated plea of no contest to second degree robbery (Pen. Code, 211), and other charges, including three additional counts of robbery, were dismissed with a Harvey waiver (People v. Harvey (1979) 25 Cal.3d 754).
The robbery to which she pled no contest stemmed from an incident in which defendant and two men, one of whom displayed a semi-automatic pistol, demanded and obtained cash, debit cards, and cell phones from four victims. Defendant was identified in a photo lineup after she attempted to use one of the victims debit cards to pay a utility bill.
In accordance with the plea agreement, defendant was sentenced to three years in state prison, and custody credits up to the date of sentencing were waived.
Defendant appeals, and we appointed counsel to represent her on appeal. Counsel filed an opening brief that sets forth the facts of the case and asks us to review the record and determine whether there are any arguable issues on appeal. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.) Defendant was advised by counsel of the right to file a supplemental brief within 30 days of the date of filing of the opening brief. More than 30 days elapsed, and we received no communication from defendant. Having undertaken an examination of the entire record, we find no arguable error that would result in a disposition more favorable to defendant.
The judgment is affirmed.
