The Cal. 4th Appellate District Court concluded the lower court abused its discretion when it underplayed its role in determining whether the Agency properly considered the child's best interest in making critically important post-termination placement decisions. Further, the record supports the conclusion the Agency abused its discretion when it refused to consider any information concerning Grandparents' remedial efforts

In this sexual harassment case, juries have twice awarded the plaintiffs substantial punitive damages. The Fourth Appellate Court concluded that to of the plaintiffs entitled to judgment interest on their compensatory and punitive damage awards commencing the date they accepted the remitted judgment, until the date the judgment was paid or deposited into the court, a time period that does not overlap their prejudgment interest award.
