IN THE COURT OF APPEAL OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

SECOND APPELLATE DISTRICT

DIVISION SIX

THE PEOPLE, 2d Crim. No. B352368
(Super. Ct. No. 24F-02014-A)
Plaintiff and Respondent, (San Luis Obispo County)

v.

GABRIEL BARRAGAN,

Defendant and Appellant.

Gabriel Barragan appeals a judgment after he pleaded no
contest to bringing a controlled substance into a penal
institution. (Pen. Code,1 § 4573, subd. (a).) Barragan admitted
he suffered a prior strike conviction (§§ 667, subds. (b)-(i),
1170.12, subds. (a)-(d)). The trial court found Barragan
voluntarily, knowingly, and intelligently entered into his plea. It
sentenced him to four years in state prison consisting of the lower
term of two years, doubled.

1 Undesignated statutory references are to the Penal Code.
We appointed counsel to represent Barragan. Counsel
examined the record and filed an opening brief requesting this
court independently review the entire record on appeal pursuant
to People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436 (Wende). On July 8,
2026, we sent a notice to the address on file for Barragan
advising he had 30 days to submit any grounds for appeal,
contentions, or arguments he wished us to consider. We have
received no such submission from Barragan.
We have reviewed the entire record and are satisfied
Barragan’s counsel fully complied with his responsibilities and no
arguable issue exists. (Wende, supra, 25 Cal.3d at p. 443.)
DISPOSITION
The judgment is affirmed.
NOT TO BE PUBLISHED.

BALTODANO, J.
